Ongoing Covid-19 Support.
• Aspire Ryde provided free school meal for children during October half term
and are hoping to do this during the Christmas holidays if no support is provided
by the government.
• The Community Hub are looking at providing prescription deliveries again. Lucy
(Community Resilience Coordinator) has been in talks with pharmacies and
residents on the Ryde Community Hub vulnerable list, to assess demand and
how to redeliver the service.
• Telephone Support Service is running well and is very popular. Aspire Ryde
are hoping to run this from ARCH, as well as offering telephone support on
Christmas day.
• Mental Health support - Most Mental Health services are in Newport and this
is not always easy for people to get to. Trevor and Michael to call an emergency
meeting regarding what can be done for Ryde residents to gain better access.
Bex to speak to IW Youth Trust, Drover Primary School and Barnardo’s to see
what other Mental health services are available for young people. The aim is to
create and list of support that is available and circulate this.
