Council Meetings

Full Council - all 16 councillors make up the Full Town Council, which makes all the key decisions. Meetings are chaired by Councillor Brian Harris, and are open to the public unless confidential matters are being discussed. The Town Council meets on the first Monday of every month and Members of the public are encouraged to attend and ask questions.

The Council has devolved its powers to comment on local Planning matters to a Planning Committee, which has 6 members and is chaired by Councillor Tim Wakeley. The Town Council also has a Finance Committee comprising 7 Members which advises on budgetary matters.

Meeting are currently held in a numer of venues across Ryde. Please check the Calendar (link to calendar page) for more details. Meetings will all be wheelchair accessible and every effort will be made to ensure that a hearing loop is available.
