RESOLVED:
The minutes to the previous meeting held on 9 March 2021 were agreed.

The Finance and Community Resources Committee Terms of Reference were
noted.

MEMBERS QUESTIONS
Cllr Ross asked a question whether the budget for Coronation Gardens was being
taken from reserves or this current years Public Realm budget. The RFO confirmed
that it is this years budget.

AWARD OF PUBLIC WORKING LOAN BOARD (PWLB) LOAN FOR ST
THOMAS CHURCH AND VECTIS HALL
St Thomas Church £286,000 fixed rate for 30 years.
Vectis Hall £125,000 fixed for 30 years.
Vectis Hall funds are yet to be drawn down.

MEDIUM AND LONG-TERM FINANCIAL STRATEGY - WORKING PARTY
RESOLVED:
Cllrs John McLagen, Charles Chapman, Phil Jordan and Simon Cooke were
appointed to the working party.

REPORT OF THE RESPONSIBLE FINANCE OFFICER (RFO).
The RFO gave a verbal report where he highlighted upcoming issues that would
be coming to a future agenda.
• Appley Tower, possible request for £40,000 next year.
• Ryde Leisure £10,000 for deckchairs and £50,000 for paddleboards.
• The need for leasing a Van ASAP to enable Ryde Leisure to transport
equipment.
