eCargo Bike Grant Fund Application

Officers have applied for an eCargo Bike Grant Fund:

•

£400,000 has been made available by the Department for Transport in 2021/22 for the

purchase of eCargo bikes, to support businesses switching to a sustainable transport

solution.

• Funding covers up to 40% of the total cost of an eCargo bike, up to a maximum of £2,500

for two-wheel models.

• Applications will be capped at five bikes per organisation.

We have applied for funding for two bikes to aid in the operations along the beachfront and for

RTC facilities team to use when completing any checks.

Quote for two eCargo bikes:

We would therefore (if successful) receive up to £1,520 towards the two bikes.

Due to the high volume of applications currently processing, the eCargo Bike Grant Fund 2021/22

application has been closed. We already have the application submitted to be processed.

The application deadline was 14 December 2021, so we are awaiting the outcome of the

application. The claim deadline for then purchasing the bikes is 14 February 2022.
