All Members are summoned to attend an
EXTRAORDINARY MEETING OF FULL COUNCIL held on
TUESDAY, 21 DECEMBER 2021, at GARFIELD ROAD, METHODIST CHURCH, RYDE,
commencing at 6PM for the purpose of transacting the business as set out within the agenda below.
COVID 19 GUIDANCE
Owing to the new Government legislation around Covid 19, the wearing of
face coverings is mandatory at this meeting unless you are medically exempt.
AGENDA
1. APOLOGIES
To receive apologies for absence.
2. DECLARATIONS OF INTERESTS
To receive any declarations of pecuniary or non-pecuniary (personal) interests relating to
item 4 on the agenda.
3. REQUESTS FOR DISPENSATIONS
To receive and consider granting any written requests from Members for dispensations in
respect of disclosable pecuniary interests.
4. BORROWING APPROVAL - PUBLIC WORKS LOAN BOARD
To agree borrowing approval for the proposed capital investment for Ryde Harbour, Ryde
Lifeguard Station, and improvements to the Appley toilet block.
Full Council is required to agree to the following:
i.
That Full Council agree to seek the approval of the Secretary of State for Housing,
Communities & Local Government to apply for a PWLB loan of £250,000 over the
borrowing term of 25 years for the capital investments to Ryde Harbour, Ryde
Lifeguard Station and Appley Toilet improvements
ii.
Full Council agrees to authorise the Responsible Financial Officer to undertake all
necessary work to enable loan completion.
