All Members are summoned to attend a FULL COUNCIL MEETING held on

MONDAY 4 JULY 2022, at GARFIELD ROAD, METHODIST CHURCH, RYDE,

commencing at 7.00PM for the purpose of transacting the business as set out within the agenda below.

Prior to the Council meeting commencing there will be a public forum of up to 15 minutes, if necessary, when there will be an opportunity for members of the public to ask questions of the Town Council regarding matters on the agenda.

   To receive and consider granting any written requests from Members for dispensations in respect of disclosable pecuniary interests.

   
   

4. MINUTES

   To take as read and confirm as accurate the attached minutes of the ordinary meeting held on Monday, 9 May 2022 (PAPER A1) and the extraordinary meeting held on 27 June 2022. (PAPER A2)

   
   

5. MEMBERS’ QUESTIONS

   To receive any questions from Members concerning the business of the Town Council or about a matter affecting the town but which is not included on the agenda for the meeting or is not otherwise before the Council.

   
   

6. MAYOR’S ANNOUNCEMENTS

   To receive any announcements from the Mayor. (PAPER B to Follow).

   
   

7. CLERK’S UPDATE

   To receive an update from the Clerk regarding the following:

   
   

   • Summer bin emptying

   • New staff appointments

   • Tour of Britain

8. TO RECIEVE A REPORT FROM THE HISTORIC BUILDINGS PROJECT OFFICER

   To receive an update from Tim Wander, the Project Officer for both St Thomas’ Church and Vectis Hall.

   
   

9. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

   To receive an update regarding the Community Development role and the Community Network based at Aspire.

   
   

10. UPDATED BUDGET 2022-23

    To agree to the report of the Responsible Financial Officer. (PAPER C)

    
    

11. FINANCE AND COMMUNITY RESOURCES COMMITTEE

    1. To receive the attached minutes of the Finance and Community Resources Committee held on 22 March and 13 April 2022. (PAPER D)

    2. To note the resignation of Cllr McLagan from the Committee

    3. To elect a member to the Committee.

    
    

12. PLACE AND NEIGHBOURHOOD COMMITTEE / PLANNING, REGENERATION AND ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE

    1. To receive the attached minutes of the Planning Regeneration and Environment Committee held on 26 April 2022 and the Place and Neighbourhood Committee held on 17 May 2022. (PAPER E)

    2. Title of the Place and Neighbourhood Committee. To change the name of the committee to The Place, Neighbourhood and Planning Committee.

    3. To note the resignation of Cllr McLagan and Cllr Chapman from the committee.

    4. To elect two members to the Committee.

    
    

13. CELEBRATING RYDE DAY

    To note the report of the Committees and Ryde Place Plan Co-Ordinator on the event held on 14 May 2022. (PAPER F)

    
    

14. DATE OF THE NEXT MEETING

To note the date of the next meeting is scheduled for Monday, 5 September 2022 at 7pm in the Methodist Church, Garfield Road, Ryde.
