Our graffiti workshop project will provide a unique and engaging platform for local youth to explore their creativity, develop artistic skills, and express themselves in a positive, supervised environment, while fostering community pride, reducing vandalism, and promoting a sense of ownership and collaboration through a public art project that will jazz up the skate park encouraging more use and offer a constructive outlet for artistic expression. The boards will be left up at the skate park as working walls for those interested in street art to have a space for their creativity.

Carnival company who will be involved in this project have a good connection with young people and will be part of this project.

Links with Network Ryde have been established and we would hope to bring GAZ on board to utilise his street art skills as well as his connection with the young people.

JD from Aspire is also very happy to be involved and has great links with young people.

What we would are asking for.

We would like to set up a total of 12 Structural Plywood CE2+ 1220mm x 1220mm x 12mm on the railings of the skate park.

These boards will all have art on them from the workshops we run with the youth but will then be left up in the skate park as working walls.

These will give our youth a designated area to express themselves though creativity whilst brightening up our very cool but very grey skate park.
