Beach Safety

Ryde Town Council fund the Beach Lifeguarding Service which is provided, under contract,  by the Waterside Community Trust. 

The Ryde Beach Lifeguard base of operations is situated on Ryde seafront, opposite the Canoe Lake, on  “North Walk”, on Ryde Esplanade.

The Lifeguard Hut is built atop the second of four, large, concrete groynes, which form part of the sea defense on Appley beach.

The Building itself adjoins the “Big Kahuna Café”.

The Beach Lifeguards will be in full operation from the 1st of July to the 31st of August.  The service may also be offered at busy times outside of these dates if  deemed necessary.
