– Ryde Information Support Service (RISS) Helps Over 200 Residents Last Month

The Ryde Information Support Service (RISS) continues to make a real difference in the community, helping residents navigate a wide range of practical tasks and access essential services. Based at Ryde Library, RISS provides free, friendly support to individuals across the area, reaching over 200 clients last month alone.

The service is available at the following times:

  • Monday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Friday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • 1st Wednesday of the month: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
  • 1st Saturday of the month: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

RISS assists residents with a wide variety of tasks, from everyday necessities to less common requests. Recent support has included:

  • CV preparation
  • Applications for postal votes
  • Placing newspaper notices online
  • Requesting repeat prescriptions
  • Renewing driving licences
  • Obtaining translations of foreign marriage certificates
  • Requesting replacement vehicle logbooks
