To celebrate World Book Night, Ryde’s Mayor, Diana Conyers, has been sharing her lifelong love of reading and encouraging residents to discover – or rediscover – the joy of a good book.
Diana says choosing a favourite book is almost impossible.
“I would have difficulty choosing a favourite book – there are simply too many I’ve loved! I always have a novel on the go, and it’s always one from Ryde Library.”
The Mayor is rarely without her next read, proudly borrowed from Ryde Library. If you visit the library, you might just spot her there browsing the shelves or enjoying a quiet moment with a book in hand, celebrating the simple pleasure that stories bring. 📖✨
