– ๐ŸŒ™๐Ÿ“š Itโ€™s World Book Night!Mayor of Ryde Shares Her Love of Reading for World Book Night

To celebrate World Book Night, Rydeโ€™s Mayor, Diana Conyers, has been sharing her lifelong love of reading and encouraging residents to discover โ€“ or rediscover โ€“ the joy of a good book.

Diana says choosing a favourite book is almost impossible.
โ€œI would have difficulty choosing a favourite book โ€“ there are simply too many Iโ€™ve loved! I always have a novel on the go, and itโ€™s always one from Ryde Library.โ€

The Mayor is rarely without her next read, proudly borrowed from Ryde Library. If you visit the library, you might just spot her there browsing the shelves or enjoying a quiet moment with a book in hand, celebrating the simple pleasure that stories bring. ๐Ÿ“–โœจ

Libraries remain an important part of community life, offering far more than shelves of books. At Ryde Library, visitors can explore:

  • A huge range of books, audiobooks and digital e-resources
  • Regular childrenโ€™s story sessions
  • Community groups and activities for all ages

Whether youโ€™re an avid reader or looking for inspiration for your next page-turner, the library is the perfect place to start.
