Experience the magic of Ryde’s annual Christmas event, Merry and Bright, presented in collaboration with New Carnival Company and Ryde Business Association. As the sun sets, embark on a one-mile walking circuit through Ryde, encountering enchanting lantern creations and captivating pop-up entertainment.
You’ll be captivated by community-made seasonal illuminations in unexpected spots. Some shops will extend their hours for late-night shopping, and various locations will offer seasonal refreshments.

This year Merry & Bright brings the High Street, Union Street, Cross Street, Town Square, Minghella Square, Vernon Square, and St Thomas Rest Gardesn to life with vibrant activities. Don’t miss the festive charm of Ryde!
Lantern parade – The parade will take place on Friday 8 December and will start at 6pm from Aspire on Dover Street, moving up Star Street, down the High Street, and down Union Street. Participants will disperse from Western Gardens.
