Wight in Bloom 2014

The Town Council is delighted to also announce that it won the Best Community Involvement award in the Wight in Bloom Awards 2014 for its town planting scheme. This is a credit to our planting and watering contractors and all our other partners.

Support St Vincent’s Care Home

Wight Diamonds Marching Band will be in concert at 6pm on Sunday 26th of October, at Medina Theatre in aid of the charity, SSAFA (Soldiers’, Sailors’ and Airmen’s Families Association) St Vincent’s care home in Ryde. The concert will include an exciting mix of marches, show pieces and popular music. Tickets are only £5 for all seats and are available from the Theatre Box Office.

Pool Lifeguard and First Aid Courses

The Waterside Pool will be running pool lifeguard and first aid courses at the Pool in October. For more details please ring the Pool on 563656.

 

Apples, apples, apples

Do you have any apple trees in your garden that produce apples that go to waste? If you do you can help raise funds for the Waterside Pool by donating them to be pressed into apple juice by Rosemary Vineyard that will be sold at the pool. Please bring your apples down to the collection buckets outside the Waterside and leave you name at reception if you would like your contribution to be recognised. For further details ring 563656.

All meetings are open to the public; agendas are available to collect from the Town Council offices or to download from the Town Council’s website at www.rydetowncouncil.gov.uk

The Town Council Office is at Town Hall Chambers, 10 Lind Street, Ryde (opposite Ryde Theatre) and is open to the public Monday to Thursday between 9am and 2pm and on a Friday between 9am and 1pm. Enquiries may still be made at any time to the above telephone numbers or email address.
