As part of the ongoing regeneration of Ryde, the Town Council is looking to work to support local businesses in the town by providing them with a level of financial support for improvements to their shop/business front. Applications of up to £2k which help the Council achieve its vision in the Commercial Frontages Design Guide will be reviewed by the Community Planning Committee.
Previously the eligible area for the grants has been limited to the High Street, but that has been widened to include all of Ryde. Shops, pubs and any commercial business across the whole community can now make an application.
Grants will be awarded for works that fall within the following categories:
Painting of property facades.
Signage on property.
Accessibility upgrades.
