– Today’s the Day! Merry and Bright is Here!

Get ready to experience the magic as Merry and Bright kicks off at 4:50 PM with Mayor of Ryde, Richard May, officially turning on the lights at St. Thomas’s Square (top of Union Street, by the old NatWest Bank and The Crown).

Weather Update: Thanks to the tireless efforts of our incredible team and the amazing support of Ryde’s local businesses, we’ve adapted the program to keep everything running smoothly indoors, away from the wind and rain.

Lantern Parade Updates: Stay tuned for announcements at 10 AM and, if needed, a final update at 3 PM.

We’re thrilled to bring you the spectacular artworks, installations, performances, and entertainment that have taken months of hard work to create. Don’t let the weather keep you away—come along and join the festivities!
