On the 8th of May, we joined communities across the country in lighting a beacon to mark Victory in Europe Day. It was an honour to stand together in remembrance and reflection, paying tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of those who served.
The event was incredibly well attended, and we thank everyone who came along to show their support. A one-minute silence was observed as the beacon was lit — a powerful moment of unity and gratitude.
Special thanks to the Royal Navy Cadets for their presence and contribution, helping to make the evening even more meaningful.
