– Yellow Weather Warning Issued

Met Office have announced a yellow ice weather warning for tomorrow. The warning states:

Yellow Warning – Ice
Between 00:00 Tue 22nd and 12:00 Tue 22nd

Ice will form on some surfaces overnight into Tuesday morning across much of the UK.

What to expect:

-Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces
-Ice on some roads, pavements and cycle paths
-Some roads and railways affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services

Island Roads have tweeted “Winter maintenance decision is precautionary treatment of P1,P2 routes and bridge decks at Stag lane and Foxes Road Newport commencing at 0300hrs Tuesday morning @ 10grsqm. Please drive carefully and according to the road conditions”.
