– Draft Action Plan And Survey

Ryde Town Council represents the interests of local residents and works to support the development, improvement and maintenance of services and facilities across the town. The Council plays an important role in shaping Ryde’s future by managing community spaces, supporting local initiatives and working in partnership with other organisations to enhance the quality of life for everyone who lives and works here.

The Town Council has legal responsibilities in specific areas, including allotments, public conveniences, planting, parks and open spaces. While it does not hold statutory powers for services such as education, social care, policing, health or highways, it is consulted on related matters and actively seeks to influence decisions that affect the town.

The draft Action Plan attached to this page sets out a framework for the Council’s priorities and activities during the term of the current Council, elected in May 2025. It outlines our key objectives, how we propose to deliver them, and will guide future financial and staffing decisions. We invite residents and stakeholders to review the draft plan and share their feedback.
