– Ryde Residents Invited to Have Their Say

Ryde Town Council is inviting all residents to take part in its Budget Consultation Event on Friday 12 December. It’s an opportunity to learn about the proposed 2026/27 budget and provide input on how local funds are allocated.

Event Details:
Date: Friday 12 December
Time: Drop-in 15:30 – 18:30
Location: No.11 St Thomas’ Square (Former NatWest Building)

The consultation will feature information boards outlining the Town Council’s allocation of the precept across different services. Residents will have the chance to ask questions, discuss priorities, and share their views to help shape the town’s future investment decisions.

Attendees can enjoy free tea, coffee and cakes while participating. As an added incentive, everyone who completes the feedback questionnaire, either at the event or online afterwards, will be entered into a prize draw to win a £50 Ryde voucher of their choice.

At the same time Ryde Town Councillors will be on hand to discuss the Draft Action Plan – a document that will help shape how the Council seeks to best serve the town of Ryde over the next five years.

What is important to you?

What is best for the town?

This is your chance to have your say and be part of the discussion.

Ryde Mayor Diana Conyers says:

“Following the elections earlier this year, Ryde Town Council is reviewing its past performance and future plans. We would therefore like to get your views on what our priorities should be in the next four years and on our budget for the next financial year. Most of our money comes from you, the local taxpayers, so it is important that you have a say in how we spend it. Don’t miss this opportunity to help shape the future of Ryde and determine how your money is spent. We, your elected councillors, are looking forward to hearing from you.”

Ryde Town Council looks forward to welcoming residents and hearing their feedback on the town’s budget and future priorities.
