Ryde Town Council Raises Armed Forces Day Flag to Kick Off Armed Forces Week Celebrations.

Ryde Town Council proudly raised the Armed Forces Day flag today, marking the commencement of Armed Forces Week. The flag serves as a symbol of our unwavering support for the brave men and women who comprise the Armed Forces community, including currently serving troops, Service families, veterans, and cadets.

We invite everyone to join in celebrating Isle of Wight Armed Forces Day on Sunday, June 25th, one day AFTER the national event, at Ryde Esplanade. This special event will be a testament to the appreciation we hold for the sacrifices and dedication of our armed forces personnel.

The event will unfold as follows:

10:30 AM – The event opens, welcoming participants and spectators

11:00 AM – Marching Parade

11:30 AM – Opening Ceremony

1:30 PM (approx) – Iconic Lancaster bomber Fly Past

2:00 PM – Thrilling performance by the Parachute Display Team

4:15 PM – Renowned Spitfire Aerobatic Display

4:30 PM – Closing Ceremony
