Ryde Town Council has planned a series of consultation events to inform and consult on the proposals outlined in the recently published Position Statement. This outline paper sets out both the position of Ryde Town Council in relation to the proposals set out by the Isle of Wight Council in the Draft Regeneration Strategy and will also offer a robust and effective contribution to the Isle of Wight Council at a key stage in the development of the new Island Planning Strategy. These events will enable the Town Council listen to the concerns that are being raised by the local community about the draft Regeneration Strategy and will take account of the objections that have been raised by the community over the past few years in relation to future development within the parish.

The main consultation event is on Friday 23rd November between 6:30pm and 8:30pm in the Upper Room at the George Street Centre. There is road-side parking on George Street, or there is parking available at the Co-Op Car Park in which the entrance to this is directly next to the George Street Centre.
For anyone who is unable to attend, there will be two additional informal consultation events held – these are on the morning of Friday 23rd November between Midday and 3pm, and the same times on Saturday 24th November. The informal consultations are being held at the Ryde Town Council Office at 10 Lind Street; this can be located directly opposite Ryde Theatre.
