The Eastern Gardens Arch is in a poor state of repair and as a result is having a major refit. Due to excessive rust, some elements cannot be saved and will have to be refabricated, others will be stripped and cleaned before being reattached to the arch.

On Saturday 16 August, residents of Ryde House Drive did a litter pick on Player’s beach and in the adjacent woods.
They collected 16 bags of litter. The Council would like to thank them for this noble effort – and also to thank the other local residents who help to keep Player’s beach clean
