Shademakers UK has joined the National Saturday Club, offering free Art and Design tuition to 13-16 year olds. Workshops start January 2022 in Ryde at 10am-1pm on Saturdays.
National Saturday Club is a UK-wide network, supported by Arts Council England and the Department for Education. This is a unique programme open to all abilities and will help to build skills and confidence as well as demonstrate pathways to further study and careers.
The Saturday Club at Shademakers delivers a range of exciting and engaging creative workshops exploring a variety of art and design processes. This year, Club members will learn design and production methods and techniques by producing costumes for The Queen’s Jubilee pageant 2022 – the theme will be ‘The Queen’s Heraldic Beasts’.
