The works to line and refurbish additional sections of the sewer along North Walk have been successfully completed.
Following this future proofing work to prevent further risk of collapse, normal flows been restored to Ryde’s main sewer and the temporary over-pumping system is now being dismantled.
Southern Water next phase of works is to backfill the temporary shaft opposite Ryde Inshore Rescue, which was constructed to give us access to repair the collapse.
When they return in the New Year they will begin reinstatement works. In partnership with Island Roads and Ryde Town Council, SW will work to ensure that the works are completed in early 2022.
