- Forms of nomination for the Town Council Election may be obtained from the Clerk to the Town Council or County Hall, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 1UD from the Returning Officer who will, at the request of an elector for the electoral area prepare a nomination paper for signature. - Nomination papers must be delivered by hand to the Returning Officer, County Hall, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 1UD, between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm on any day from the date of this notice but no later than 4 pm on Friday, 23rd February 2024.
- If the election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday, 21st March 2024.
- Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight on Tuesday 5 March 2024. Applications can be made online: https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
- Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector’s Document valid for this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Wednesday 13th March 2024. Applications can be made online: https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-voter-authority-certificate
- Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes and amendments or cancellations of proxy votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at County Hall, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 1UD by 5 pm on Wednesday, 6th March 2024.
- New applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at County Hall, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 1UD by 5 pm on Wednesday, 13th March 2024.
- Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election on grounds of physical incapacity or for work/service reasons must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at County Hall, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 1UD by 5 pm on Thursday, 21st March 2024. The physical incapacity must have occurred after 5 pm on Wednesday, 13th March 2024. To apply on the grounds of work/service, the person must have become aware that they cannot go to the polling station in person after 5 pm on Wednesday, 13th March 2024
